감리교군선교회는 지난 15일 주말 오후에 15사단 진중세례식을 주관하였다. 15사단은 화천에 위치하여 철원군의 최전방 GOP와 GP를 지키는 철책사단으로, 6.25의 크고작은 전투에서 한번도 패한 적이 없어서,  '승리부대'로 불리는 최강의 부대로서, 부대원이 갖는 자부심이 대단하다. 

동시에 부대 훈련과 근무나 인간관계가 직접적인 요인은 아니지만, 때로는 부대 안의 피로감을 파괴적인 행동으로 유발시킬 수 있다. 그리고 부대가 위치한 험준한 산악으로인해 근무가 쉽지만은 않다. 고립감과 답답함과 같은 감정적 고통 또한 GOP와 GP근무자들이 스스로 감당하기가 어렵다.

그래서 체력뿐 아니라, 정신력이 강할 필요가 있다. 산악근무에는 인내심을 요하는 경우가 있기 때문이다. 그런데 인내심은 간섭받지않고 자유롭게 살아온 MZ세대 용사들에게는 쉽지않은 고통일 수있다.

이를 해결하는 방법은 세계관과 인생생 그리고 국가관과 같은 정체성을 군인화 과정에 있는 훈련병들로하여금 갖게하는 것인데, 이를 위해 김정대 군종참모(중령, 장로회통합)가 정반석 군목 그리고 엄현식 군목과 함께  힘쓰고있다. 

진중세례식은 위와같은 군종활동의 결정체로서, 지역교회의 복음적 관심과 지원을 필요로하는 군선교이다.

세례식은 원주제일 교회(최헌영 목사)와 진관교회(이현식 목사)의 후원으로, 김종대 군종참모의 사회를 따라서, 박관영 권사(원주제일교회 선교팀장)가 기도하면서 진행되었다. 

"사랑의 하나님. 
청년들이 조국위해 젊음을 헌신할 수 있게하셔서 감사합니다. 
장병마다 전우애를 키워주셔서 서로 아껴줄뿐 아니라 강인함과 인내 그리고 절제를 배우게하시고, 삶의 가치관을 정립하고 인생의 설계도를 완성하는 삶을 살게하소서. 
여름의 무더위 속에서도 훈련병마다 고된 훈련을 잘 견디게해주셔서 감사합니다.
이 시간, 훈련병들이 세례받고자 모였습니다.
세례예식을 통해 주님의 크신 사랑을 깨닫게하시고, 십자가 군병으로 거듭나게하시며, 가장 감격스런 시간으로 기억되게하소서."

권용주 목사(원주제일교회)는 마7:7을 갖고 '열려라 참깨'를 제목으로 설교하였다.

"천일야화의 알라바바와 40인의 도둑이야기에 보면 '열려라 참깨'의 주문을 외우면, 금은보화가 가득한 방에 들어가는 문이 열린다. 누구나 '열려라 참깨!'하기만 하면 된다. 그런데 욕심이 많은 사람이 황금보화에 눈이 멀어서, 주문을 잊어서 방을 나오지 못하고 만다. 이처럼 세상에는 영원한 삶을 위해 잊지말아야할 것이 있다. 특별히 오늘 세례받은 훈련병들은 예수그리스도의 이름을 기억하고! 예수그리스도의 이름을 사용하며 살아야, 하나님께서 만들어놓으신 것들을 삶의 풍성함으로 누리며 살 수있다.
성경은 말한다. 구하라! 받을 것이다. 두드려라! 열릴 것이다. 
필요한 가? 구하라! 하나님이 주실 것이다. 닫혀있는가? 두드려라! 열릴 것이다.
이를 위해 예수님이 말씀하셨다. 지금까지는 너희가 내 이름으로 구하지않았다. 그러나 내 이름으로 구하라! 받을 것이며, 너희 기쁨이 충만 할 것이다. 예수님을 구세주로 영접한 여러분! 예수님의 이름으로, 구하고! 두드리며 살자! 하나님께서 여러분의 길을 열어 주실 것이다."

훈련병 29명이 군종참모를 따라 세례 서약과 기도를 한후, 권용주 목사와 이원증 목사(원주제일교회) 그리고 권오승 목사(케냐 선교사)를 통해 세례를 받았다. 군종참모가 세례공포한 후, 이원증 목사와 권오승 목사가 세례축사를 하였다.

"하나님의 아들로 새롭게 태어난 여러분을 주의 이름으로 온 정성을 모아 축하드립니다. 세례받았다는 것은, 예수님이 세례받으실 때 성령이 임하고 너는 내 사랑하는 아들! 내가  너를 기뻐한다는 음성을 들으신 것저럼, 여러분 또한 주님의 자녀가 되었다는 것이고, 하나님이 여러분을 책임져주신다는 약속입니다. 하나님과 동행하는 삶을 살아강으로, 주안에서 승리하는 삶이 시작되기를 기대합니다"(이원증 목사)

"저는 케냐 선교사입니다. 아프리카에서 가장 큰 벌은 부족에게서 쫓겨나는 것인데,  쫓겨나면 사자밥이 되어 죽고맙니다. 세례받은 여러분은 이제 옛 사람은 죽고, 하나님의 사람으로 다시 태어난 사람입니다. 세례를 통해 여러분 스스로 세상을 버린다고 결심하였을 때, 하나님께서 여러분을 하나님의 사람으로 다시 태어나게해주셨습니다. 하나님의 사람으로  하나님이 주시는 하늘의 은사와 능력으로 세상을 살아가게될 여러분을 축하합니다. 하나님께서 지켜주시고, 인도하시며, 채워주시기를 소망합니다."(권오승 목사)

세례식은 권오승 목사의 축도로 마쳐졌다.

군선교회는 세례식을 후원하고 순서를 맡아준 원주제일교회와 진관교회 그리고 15사단 군종실(김정대 군종참모, 정반석 군목, 엄현석군목, 군종병들과 신교대찬양팀)과 사단교회에 감사인사를 전하였다. 세례를 도운 원주제일교회의 박관영 권사, 홍혜련 권사, 김능숙 권사에게도 감사인사를 전하였다.

지난 2년동안 15사단 세례식의 숨은 주역은 한청빈 군종(총신대)이다. 한 군종은 훈련병 전도와 신교대찬양팀을 위해 전역 6개월을 연장하는 임기제부사관이 되어서 6월19일에 전역할만큼, 군선교에 충실하였다. 

The Methodist Military Mission hosted the 15th Division Jinjung Baptism on the weekend afternoon of the 15th.

The 15th Division is an iron fence division located in Hwacheon and protecting the front-line GOP and GP of Cheorwon-gun, and has never lost in the large and small battles of the 6.25, so it is the strongest unit called the 'Seungri Unit', and the pride of the unit members is great.

At the same time, unit training, work, or human relationships are not direct factors, but sometimes fatigue in the unit can be caused by destructive behavior.
And it is not easy to work because of the rugged mountains where the unit is located.
Emotional pain such as isolation and frustration is also difficult for GOP and GP workers to handle on their own.

So you need to have strong mental strength as well as physical strength. This is because mountain work sometimes requires patience.
However, patience can be a difficult pain for MZ generation warriors who have lived freely without interference.

The way to solve this problem is to have identities such as worldview, life, and nationalview among trainees in the process of militarization, and to this end, Kim Jeong-dae, a military chief (lieutenant colonel, senior association integration), is working with Jeong Ban-seok and Um Hyun-sik.

The Jinjung Baptism is the crystallization of the above military activities and is a military mission that requires the evangelical interest and support of the local church.

The baptism was sponsored by Wonju Jeil Church (Pastor Choi Heon-young), followed by the society of Kim Jong-dae, a military chief of staff, and was held with deaconess Park Kwan-young (head of the mission team at Wonju Jeil Church) praying.
"God of love.
Thank you for allowing young people to devote their youth to their country.
Let each soldier develop comradeship, not only care for each other, but also learn strength, patience, and moderation, establish life values, and complete the blueprint of life.
Thank you for allowing each trainee to endure hard training well despite the summer heat.

At this time, the trainees gathered to be baptized.
Let the baptismal ceremony realize the great love of the Lord, make him reborn as a cross soldier, and remember it as the most touching time."

Pastor Kwon Yong-ju (Wonju Jeil Church) preached with Ma 7:7 under the title of 'Open Sesame'.
"If you look at the story of Alababa and 40 thieves in Cheonil Night, if you memorize the spell of 'Open Sesame', the door to the room full of gold and silver treasures opens.
Everyone said, 'Open sesame seeds!' All you have to do is do it.
However, a greedy person is blinded by golden treasures, so he forgets his spell and cannot leave the room.
As such, there is something in the world that must not be forgotten for eternal life.
Especially today's baptized trainees remember the name of Jesus Christ! Only when I live using the name of Jesus Christ can I enjoy what God has made with the richness of my life.

After 29 trainees followed the military staff to make baptismal pledges and baptismal prayers, through Pastor Kwon Yong-joo, Pastor Lee Won-jeung (Wonju Jeil Church), and Pastor Kwon Oh-seung (Kenya Missionary).
I was baptized.
After the military staff proclaimed baptism, Pastor Lee Won-jeung and Kwon Oh-seung
The pastor gave a baptismal speech.
"Congratulations on you, who were reborn as the son of God, with all your heart in the name of the Lord.
To be baptized, when Jesus is baptized, the Holy Spirit comes and you are my beloved son! When you hear the voice that I am happy with you, you are also a child of the Lord, and it is a promise that God will take responsibility for you.
I look forward to the beginning of a life with God as a living life, and a life of victory in Juan." (Pastor Lee Won-jeung)
"I'm a Kenyan missionary.
The biggest bee in Africa is being kicked out of a tribe, and when kicked out, it becomes a lion's food and dies.
You who have been baptized are now those who have died and were reborn as God's.
Through baptism, when you decide to abandon the world on your own, God has reborn you as God's man.
Congratulations to you who will live in the world with God's gift and power from heaven as God's man.
I hope God will protect, guide, and fill your life." (Pastor Kwon Oh-seung)
The baptism ended with a celebration by Pastor Kwon Oh-seung.

The Military Missionary Church thanked Wonju Jeil Church, the 15th Division Military Service (Kim Jong-dae Military Staff, Jeong Ban-seok Military Service, Um Hyun-seok Military Service, Military Service Soldiers and Protestant Grand Praise Team), and the division church for sponsoring and taking charge of the baptismal ceremony.

Han Chung-bin's military service (Chongshin University) has been the hidden protagonist of the 15th Division baptism ceremony over the past two years. A military officer became a term-based noncommissioned officer who extended the discharge by six months for the evangelism of trainees and the Protestant Grand Praise Team, and was faithful to military missions enough to be discharged on June 19.
