Byrene, S.J. B.(edit.) D.J. Harrington. Romans:: Sacra Pagina Series vol.6(Collegeville, Minn.:Liturgical Press, 1996), 264-265.
The mention of salvation as a reality already present is striking, since elsewhere Paul refers "salvation" to the future, eschatological deliverance heralding the arrival of the final age.... we really are already "in a situation of salvation."
Moo, D.J. Romans: The NIV Application commentary(Grand Rapids, Mich.: Zondervan Publishing House, 2000), 269-267.
We were "saved" in this hope; that is, hope has been a part of our salvation since the time of our conversion. the very nature of hope means that we await something we cannot now see.
Moo, D.J. The Epistle to the Romans(Grand Rapids, Mich.: W.B. Eerdmans Pub. Co, 1996), 521-522.

Hope, Paul is saying, has been associated with our experience of salvation from the beginning. Always our salvation, while definitively secured for us at conversion, has had an element of incompleteness, in which he forward look is necessary.
Morris, L. The Epistle to the Romans(Grand Rapids, Mich.: W.B. Eerdmans Leicester, England: Inter-Varsity Press, 1988), 324-325.
But it is Paul's habit to speak of being saved "by faith", and hope certainly does not have the same place as does faith, though the two are closely connected. it's better to render "in hope". there is little to be said for "for hope". Salvation is often seen in the New Testament as future(5:9), and sometimes as present(1cor.1:18). But it is also past. So the aorist tense brings out an aspect of salvation which the other tenses do not. We look forward in hope to the full realization of what Christ has done for us..... the Christian salvation have yet to appear.
Schreiner, T.R. Romans(Grand Rapids, Mich.: Baker Books, 1998), 439.
→¹ø¿ª¼: ½´¶óÀ̳Ê. T. ·Î¸¶¼(3¼â). ¹è¿ë´ö ¿ª. ¼¿ï: ºÎÈï°ú°³Çõ»ç, 2015.
Yet even here the future dimension of salvation is not lost, for he adds the words "in hope", thereby anticipation the completion of the salvation now enjoyed. Most probably the dative is associative, signifying that hope is the companion of salvation.
